PRINCE William is flying economy to cut costs in the credit crunch. He has told staff to book the cheapest seats where possible.

Earlier this month the Prince, 26, went on a skiing holiday with girlfriend Kate Middleton and her family and sat among economy passengers on the BA flight to Geneva.

A senior courtier said: “He is determined to get his travelling costs down.”
